10th infringement festival – Call for Artists

The 10th Montreal infringement festival, running June 13-23, is now accepting artist applications. Based on the original Edinburgh Fringe of 1947, the infringement festival promotes independent arts and, as such, charges no fees, has no corporate interference, does not limit creativity, and welcomes all acts, especially those that are critical, activist and controversial.

The infringement welcomes a variety of performances and cultural resistance: theatre troupes, players of all types, street activism, political drama, musicians, radical performances, visual artists, films, marginalized arts, spoken-word, puppet shows, disadvantaged groups, and anyone wishing to artistically infringe on the monoculture and corporate oppression that creeps into every corner of our lives.
