Infinithéâtre is accepting applications for the position of Box Office & Sales Manager for their 2016-2017 Season. This position is a 30 week contract beginning in September.

His/ her tasks may include:

*Managing bookings, selling tickets and 6pack subscriptions
*Selling advertising space in programs
*Carrying out daily office tasks
*Communications between artists, staff, our partners and the audience.
*Managing the box office and create promotional campaigns, market research, audience mediation programs, and maintain Action Infini.
*Assist Artistic Director when necessary.
*Assisting with funding applications

The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications:

*Knowledge and experience in the theatrical milieu
*Previous experience and/or an interest in marketing/advertising is an asset
*Comfortable multi-tasking
*Versatile
*Resourceful
*Hard-working
*Organizational skills
*Strong knowledge of computer environment (Mac OS, Excel, Word)

While Infinithéâtre is primarily an English-language theatre company, candidates must be comfortable speaking French to interact with audience members and answer phone calls.

Contract begins in September, 2016 – Ending March 2017.

JOB POSTING – Box Office / Admin – Odyssey Theatre – OTTAWA, ON

Odyssey Theatre is celebrating its 31st season as the region’s premiere professional open-air theatre. We produce award-winning mask and movement-based work and perform in Ottawa’s Stratchona Park. We are now hiring a Box Office/Administrative Assistant and are looking for a student who is currently enrolled in a secondary or post-secondary institution and is returning to school on full-time basis in the fall.

The successful candidate will oversee box office ticket sales for our summer production and help with office administration. Reporting to the General Manager, he/she will work from Odyssey’s office at Arts Court, at 2 Daly Avenue in downtown Ottawa.

The successful candidate will be required to work 40 hours
and six days a week. This eight-week summer position will begin on June 29 and end on August 23, 2016 at a weekly salary of $450.00.

The successful candidate will have responsibility for the following tasks:
• Making advance ticket sales; (either by telephone or by on-site purchase at the Office)
• Updating mailing list;
• Making cold-calls to notify patrons of our coming season;
• Preparing thank-you letters for volunteers; and
• Assisting the General Manager with administrative duties, as required.

The successful candidate must have:
• Careful attention to detail;
• Very strong organizational skills;
• Excellent communication skills in English, (both written and verbal);
• Intermediate computer skills using a MAC computer (Microsoft Word, Excel);
• Ability to show initiative; and,
• Ability to work independently.

Experience with customer service, handling money and credit card transactions is an asset.

Roseneath Theatre (ITA TYA) is touring our production of Spirit Horse by Drew Hayden Taylor to Young Peoples Theatre, the Sudbury Theatre Centre & schools in northern Ontario and the Ottawa area. We are seeking two adult Indigenous professional actors to play these Indigenous roles. Each performer has a major role and many minor roles in this production for young audiences.

Pa – Father, 30-45, a grandfather from the Stoney Nation and other roles. He used to be a champion rodeo rider. Emotional depth & honesty essential.

Jesse – Female, plays a twelve year old, urban youth from the Stoney Nation. Older sister to Angelina, Jesse is smart, tough and protective of her sister.

A highly theatrical & imaginative story in which three actors play over 65 characters, accompanied by a live musician. Spirit Horse is a powerful adventure of two Indigenous city children whose lives are changed forever by the appearance of a Spirit Horse – a gift from their grandfather who lives by the old ways on a prairies reserve.

All actors granted an audition will have access to the full script of the play.
